Welcome to Foundation

What to Expect when I visit Foundation?

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: When are the services? What should I wear? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions.

When are services?
Services are on Sunday mornings at 9:18 and 11:03 a.m.  Foundation offers a contemporary styled service utilizing relevant music, video, practical messages that communicate God’s word to today’s mind, and creative formats to enhance the learning and worship dynamic. All services typically last 60 minutes.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you or others are wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt.  Others prefer to “dress up” a bit and that’s fine too! We ask that whatever style you choose, that modesty and appropriate logos guide your selections. We are confident you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

How do I get to Foundation?

Foundation Church is located at 87A West Main in Norwalk. We are the building directly behind St. Paul Episcopal Church.

Where should I park?

The church has limited parking and you may park in any available spot. Handicapped parking is close to the church. During bad weather you may pull up close to the church and let the family out to avoid snow and rain. If need be, one of our friendly door greeters will park your car for you. There is also ample parking across the street at Walker Funeral Home. (Eddie and Roxanne Walker have been gracious to let us use their parking lot.)

Where do my children go?

N2Y, our children’s ministry at Foundation, offers age appropriate classes and activities during each service. N2Y is the perfect place for your children infant through fifth grade to go while you attend service. If you would like your children to go to N2Y, visit RIGHT THERE in the lobby as you enter. We dismiss the children during the service so that they can worship musically with their family.

Your children will be checked in and given guest name tags with a number.  You, as the parent/guardian will also be given a tag with that same number that corresponds to your child.  If at any time during the service your child needs your attention someone from the N2Y department will come and get you

You will need to turn your number tag back in to your child’s teacher in order to pick him/her up at the close of the service. Your child will not be released from his/her class until a parent with the corresponding number tag arrives.  This is done for the safety and security of all of our children.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are visiting with us we do not expect you to put money in the offering.

We have a place on the west wall called IN THERE where our Connection Cards and offering goes.

If you consider Grace your church home, then your active financial support of God’s work is both encouraged and expected. You can give by check or cash.
